Waki was like a stalker who was around kami all the time. While filming he eats kami's food and becomes obsessed. Waki is a food reporter who goes around to random people's home during dinnertime to interview them on the food and introduce their menu to the audience. One night when he is microwaving his unfinished meal an intruder walks in. Every day he prepares his own lunch box but never eats it. People around him think that he tries to lure people into falling in love by offering his amazing meal.
I think that if you want to read an entertaining, down to earth and stand-alone manga, this is for you. Last but not least, the art style reminded me a bit of Yamamoto Kotetsuko-sensei, so that’s great too. There was even a moment when I thought this would end on a depressing note, but fortunately, they have their HEA. Little by little we see how they fall for each other despite their fears and how other, narrow minded people might react. Thus, the author makes a wonderful job mixing the two together and it gives us a beautiful story of a good looking, blunt reporter and a young man whose great at cooking. Now, of course there are some light hearted scenes, but it also brings hard topics for queer people living in Japan. I thought this would be a lovely RomCom but man, it had me in tears.
